Maori All Blacks seem set to face Brazil, Chile in November

Chile Rugby has confirmed on social media that its national team will face the New Zealand side on November 17 (local time), while reports suggest they will also face Brazil a week earlier in Sao Paolo.

Brazil is currently ranked 26th in the world, while Chile is 30th.

Brazil recently recorded its biggest ever win earlier this month when they trailed Argentina XV 33-3 and ended up winning 36-33, while the week before they beat Chile 28-12.

Before the two South American fixtures, the Māori All Blacks are confirmed for a November 3 match against USA Eagles in Chicago, part of a tripleheader that includes games for the Black Ferns against the USA and Six Nations champions Ireland against Italy.

USA Rugby and TLA Worldwide, (TLA), and host city partners Chicago Sports Commission (CSC) and Soldier Field, have today announced that world class international rugby will again return to Soldier Field in Chicago for the latest edition of The Rugby Weekend.

The iconic NFL stadium will host three captivating international rugby matches over the course of one day, featuring the USA Rugby Men’s and Women’s Eagles taking on the popular Maori All Blacks and the champion Black Ferns respectively. Six Nations Champions Irelandreturn to Chicago to take on their Six Nations rivals, Italy.

The match programme for Soldier Field on Saturday 3 November opens with the USA Women’s Eagles up against 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup Champions, the Black Ferns, followed by Ireland v Italy and culminating in a home-team advantage for the USA Men’s Eagles against the Maori All Blacks.

The USA Men’s Eagles last faced the Maori All Blacks during The Rugby Weekend 2016 in front of over 18,000 fans at Toyota Park. The squad has started 2018 in spectacular fashion going undefeated to win the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) becoming the first nation in the tournament’s history to win the Grand Slam, and look to carry this momentum into The Rugby Weekend.

As part of the company’s partnerships with USA Rugby and New Zealand Rugby, AIG will be working with the teams to increase the visibility and growth of rugby globally, especially here in the Chicagoland area through programs like Rookie Rugby youth initiative. Currently, the program has 39 official State Rugby Organizations. AIG is working with USA Rugby to introduce the Rookie Rugby program in conjunction with the Chicago Park District and Public Schools this fall. Pre & Post-Game Stadium Activities:

Stadium Green Fan Fest will open at 11:00AM for all fans to enjoy festive pre-game activities.
Kelly's Pub will open at 1:00PM inside the United Club and stay open through the match. All fans with tickets for the match are welcome to enter the United Club to warm up with some great food & drinks.

Post-Match Party - The Duke Up North - Eagles Nest will open at end of the match in the South Courtyard of the stadium and will feature live entertainment and an open mic for rugby fans to take the stage and sing their team anthem.
